Made for the Extra Credits Game Jam 2020.

Controls:

  • Arrow keys or WASD to move
  • Space bar - Action button

Overview:

Keep your robot alive long enough to charge its laser and win the fight!

During the fight round, pay attention to your robot:

  • Remember the COLOUR of the bubble and the PART shown

When the fight round ends, it's repair time, put the corresponding damaged PARTS in the box of the MATCHING colour to avoid damage to your robot and charge your LASER. Get your LASER to full power and you WIN! But take too much damage and you're done for.

Get the right parts from the shelves and put them in the right boxes to keep your robot in the fight, but mess it up and you’ll take even more damage!

Debris will slow you down - clear them up debris by hitting the space bar and just the right time.

Charge your laser all the way up to win. Can you stay in the fight long enough to win?

Tips:

  • The panel in the top right corner shows your robots health, laser charge, the current part you're holding and the remaining time in the round.
  • You are evaluated at the end of each repair round (yellow) clock. The boxes will flash green if they're correct, or red if you missed a part, or added any unneeded parts.
  • You can avoid the debris, but hitting it will require you to clear it
  • Be careful - adding extra parts will give your robot just as much damage as missing some.
  • Your kid doesn't do anything, but it's try not to bring shame to your family as he watches his dad at work.
  • Picked up the wrong part? You can use the bin to throw it away!

Dev notes:

This is our first ever game, we were maybe a bit too ambitious with our scope, but we learned a lot working on it over the jam. Was great fun getting involved!

A pretty neat game! I like the concept a lot. There were enough elements to keep me engaged without being overwhelming. Though I don't think the timer gave you enough time during the later levels to grab as many parts as the robot requested and bring them back to the boxes, though we still won! Nicely done.

Thanks for the kind words. Adjusting the challenge was def hard to test in the jam, something I plan to leave more time for in the next one for sure.

This actually a really cool idea! It does get hard to memorize all of the things you must do, but by the end seems that I won, even though I didn't even get close to meeting all the requirements, but Overall great game! Love the art style.

Awesome thanks for trying it out man!

I must say I don't really get it. :/

Just played it and to be honest I don't understand it either:(

Hey guys,

Thanks for giving it a go!

Being our first ever game jam, we were a lil too ambitious and didn’t have enough time to add in-game instructions or enough feedback to the user about what you’re meant to be doing.

But you're meant to watch the colour of the bubble and the part damaged and then put that in the corresponding box in the repair round. Success in this will charge the laser so you can win the fight.
